The Council has set up a comprehensive CCTV system throughout the urban, open spaces, park facilities and some rural areas of the Borough. This tender is for the provision of operators to manage and monitor the equipment from the control room.The primary objectives of the scheme are to provide a safe Town Centre with Open Spaces (including parks) for the benefit of those who live, work, trade, visit and enjoy the facilities of Bedford Borough and to reduce the fear of crime and the occurrence of crime in our local communities. In addition, the control room currently provides out of hours services (OOH) for the Council, Highways Team and partner agencies, for example Housing Associations
