Adult Mental Health - South East London
This contract will be awarded to an existing provider (MIND) following the direct award process C.
The approximate life time value of the contract is £9,526,960 (3 years with an option to extend for 2 more years.
The contract value for 2024/25 includes additional £29,867 recurrent funding allocated and 0.8% NHS Tariff uplift.
SEL Mind delivers 3 services as part of the overall contract.
Mindline and Crisis Counselling:
Through the provision of telephone counselling, information provision, and signposting, the service aims to reduce risk to people in crisis, to strengthen people's ability to manage emotional difficulties & mental distress, and to seek to prevent people being admitted to hospital. It provides ongoing support, information and signposting to relevant services, both in-house and in the borough, such as groups, face to face counselling, drop-ins, drug and alcohol service providers, acute intervention services and community mental health services etc.
IPS (Individual Placement and Support):
Each Employment Specialist (ES) carries out all phases of the employment service including intake, engagement, assessment, job placement, job coaching, benefits counselling and in-work support. IPS supported employment services are closely integrated with mental health
treatment services. Employment specialists are assigned to one or two mental health teams from which they receive referrals. The employment specialists meet weekly with team members to think of strategies to help people with their employment and education goals.
Community Mental Health Hub:
The service operates across Primary and Secondary Care as a bridging the gap service. It has a 'no wrong door' approach providing frictionless movement between services, using common assessment approaches and cross-team working to facilitate this. Providing an holistic approach to assessing and meeting needs, with a focus on the wider determinants of mental health
