Due to the nature of the legacy councils, there are a number of waste contracts, some combined across legacy areas. As a result, the same type of waste may currently be managed differently depending on where it originated from.

Our goal is for at least some of the major waste streams to be streamlined. Prospective suppliers should also be aware of our sustainability targets, and our ambition to deal with our own waste locally to fulfil our proximity principle aspirations.
