Sandwell MBC (the Council) sought a vehicle conversion specialist to undertake the conversion of two new ADL Enviro400 double deck buses. Both vehicles will be acting as a focal contact point for the youth of Sandwell, working across the borough allowing Sandwell MBC to carry out vital youth work whilst offering access to games consoles, music production equipment and IT suites. The successful supplier will also be required to design, in consultation with key officers at the Council, two exterior designs that the young people of Sandwell will vote on their favourite. Aimed at an age demographic of 11-19 and up to 25 for SEND (Special educational needs and disabilities) both conversions are required to be identical in build, finished to a high standard that will enable a long service life and easy access to serviceable items allowing for quick maintenance turnaround
