Southwark Council is currently planning a re-tendering for its Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) bus services.
The aim of the service is to provide a safe, sensitive and reliable transport service to meet the needs of children and young people aged up to 25 years with SEND travelling to and from school and other establishments.

The contracting authority is currently planning a re-tendering for its Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) bus services and would like to hear from any organisations who are currently providing these services to further understand:
• The size of the market within, or adjacent to, Southwark
• Types of service providers and
• Potential challenges, issues and/or risks
The contracting authority invites organisations of any size to engage and assist in this market insight stage by completing and returning a questionnaire which is attached to this notice and can be downloaded from the portal. Completed questionnaires should be submitted via the messaging service not later than 5pm on Tuesday 4th October 2022. Responses to the questionnaire will be treated confidentially.
Please note that this exercise is not the commencement of a procurement procedure nor a call for expressions of interest. Any procurement of any services by the contracting authority in due course will be carried out strictly in accordance with the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and advertised on the ProContract portal.
The contracting authority shall not be liable for any costs, fees or expenses incurred by any organisation participating in this soft market testing/sounding exercise.
