Bridgend County Borough Council seeks to appoint experienced providers to enter into a framework agreement for the delivery of high quality and sustainable domiciliary care services across Bridgend County Borough. The framework agreement will be for 2 years, with an option to extend for a further 24 months and will allow the Council to purchase individual packages of generic domiciliary care as well as respite/short break packages from providers.
It is essential for providers to support and promote the Councils objectives of delivering enabling person centred and outcome focused domiciliary care, which supports prevention and wellbeing in accordance with the Social Services and Wellbeing (Wales) Act 2014. In this way, individuals requiring domiciliary care at home will be enabled, empowered and supported to live as independently as possible in their own homes and communities.
The required services will be provided to individuals with various levels of need that meet the eligibility criteria and are assessed as requiring personal and practical care and support within their own homes. These services will be predominately provided to older people, although not exclusively and will delivered to individuals with a range of care needs.
Due to anticipated demographic changes in Bridgend County Borough, demand on all Social Care services is expected to increase and it is anticipated that there will be an increase in demand for care at home as more people choose to remain within their own homes and communities. Therefore, providers will be need to be responsive and flexible to anticipated changes in need and demand.
