The Out-of-Hours Pharmacy Service ensures that patients requiring urgent treatment out-of-hours (at times and on days not provided for by the existing Community Pharmacy network) can obtain their prescription in a timely manner. The Out-of-Hours Pharmacy Service also ensures that the Borough has a stock holding of medication that may be required for outbreak management such as a flu or meningitis outbreak.

The Contract will be for 12 months from 1st April 2024 - 31 March 2025

The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contract Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. The contact has not formally been awarded, the notice serves as an intention to award under the PSR.

The publication of this notice marks the start of the standstill period. Representations by providers must be made to decision makers by midnight on 28th August 2024
