two.1.4) Short description

To support the work of the Environment Agency’s internal HSW service (and services we utilise through other existing contracts, for example occupational hygiene, occupational health), we want to create a framework with small number of providers of HSW specialist services to provide additional capacity, resource and competent advice. Examples of services are:

• Evaluating HSW of submissions during procurements

• Providing lead reviewer for internal accident investigations (in line with HSG245)

• Provision of training and workshops where need is short-term/limited-run, requires specialist HSW knowledge or accreditation (e.g. NEBOSH or IOSH). Including design and deliver, delivering EA content including joint delivery with colleagues from EA)

• Risk assessments, audits and inspections (e.g. COVID risk assessments of EA workplaces, woodworking and engineering workshops, internally and externally delivered construction projects/sites, construction design audits)

• Internal guidance creating, review and advice

• Benchmarking / peer review with comparable/safety mature organisations
