two.1.4) Short description

Cumbria County Council (CCC) wishes to invite tender submissions for the supply of Bikeability Training in Cumbria. The successful bidder will be responsible for delivering an annual programme of Bikeability Training for the period of 2022-2026 (based on a 1-year initial contract term and 3 x up to 1-year optional extensions) for the price values indicated in the Tender documents and in line with the Specification detailed in Schedule 2 of the Tender documents.

The total estimated value of the Contract is £904,640 over the 4-year period based on current funding allocations.

This value is subject to receiving Grant Funding which is awarded on an annual basis. Notification of grant funding for Bikeability is usually received by CCC every January/February for the subsequent tax year. Details of current expenditure are indicative only and the Council does not guarantee any spend against this Contract/Framework Agreement. The contract will be split into tranches of 1 year funding in line with the annual announcement of DfT Grant Funding to CCC. CCC will provide as much notice as possible to providers upon receipt of the funding.

candidates.

Any expenditure, work or effort undertaken prior to contract award is accordingly a matter solely for the commercial judgement of potential suppliers. The contracting authority reserve the right to use any electronic portal during the life of the agreement. The value provided in section II.1.5) is only an estimate.

Cumbria is currently undergoing a local government reorganisation and Government has announced that Cumbria County Council is to be replaced by two unitary authorities with effect form 01 April 2023. Cumbria County Council shall be entitled to novate the Contract to any successor council as defined in The Local Government (Structural Changes) (Transfer of Functions, Property, Rights and Liabilities) Regulations 2008
