The Directed Energy Weapons team, part of Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S), is seeking feedback from Suppliers who may be interested in supporting the development of Directed Energy Weapons (DEW) capabilities, part of the MOD DEW programme. We expect this programme to support the development and delivery into service of Laser DEW (LDEW) and Radio Frequency DEW (RFDEW) systems over the next 5-10 years
DE&S would like to hear from interested Suppliers at all supply chain levels to inform upcoming Procurement Strategy decisions for the DEW programme. Specifically, we would like to gauge industrial interest, capability, capacity and views on the potential approach to the next phase of the programme.
Interested Suppliers should login to the Defence Sourcing Portal (DSP) to locate the Opportunity Notice and access the DEW Industry Briefing Note (hyperlink below) and link to the Request for Information (RFI) Questionnaire. Interested Suppliers should complete the RFI and email Andrew.Thompson513@mod.gov.uk to authenticate the submission on behalf of the Company, by 29 Sep 2023.
