two.1.4) Short description

Devon County Council (DCC) is seeking to engage with an IBM partner to provide a Managed Service for the support of an IBM\AIX server installation that has recently been implemented.

The Corporate Finance Application has recently been migrated from an ageing IBM server to a new IBM Power9 server running AIX 7, with locally attached Storwize storage. In addition, a second IBM\AIX server has been procured to provide a replication target for a DR capability. Replication is anticipated to use IBM Spectrum Virtualise Software, and it’s Copy Services-Global Mirror capability.

With this being the only IBM\AIX infrastructure at DCC, we have a requirement for a Managed Service from an IBM Partner with the necessary IBM\AIX skills to keep the operating system and hardware healthy and patched, respond to, and resolve incidents\failures, and to monitor and maintain the AIX storage replication between the two servers.
