Between May 2022 and March 2024 STEP will establish the Initial Operating Capability (IOC) of this delivery organisation, in readiness for it to take on leadership of the programme from April 2024 (again, subject to Government approvals). It is planned to legally form the new body on 1 Apr 23. For the IOC to be reached the organisation must have established the processes, systems, procedures, knowledge, capabilities and planning assumptions to enable execution of a leadership role from April 2024.
The STEP programme is looking for a Transition Partner to help UKAEA prepare for the programme to transfer to its next phase of operations.
The objective of this partnership is to support a dedicated UKAEA team which will design, establish, integrate, stand up and begin operation of the corporate and programme infrastructure required for Tranche 2 of the programme and beyond.

The authority will incorporate a minimum 10 calendar day standstill period at the point information on the award of the contract is communicated to tenderers.
This period allows unsuccessful tenderers to seek further debriefing from the authority before a contract is entered into applicants have 2 working days from the notification of the award decision to request. Additional debriefing and that information have to be provided within a minimum of 3 working days before the expiry of the standstill period.
