The Business Services Organisation Information Technology Services (BSO ITS), in collaboration with the Department of Health (DoH) and the Health and Social Care (HSC) Trusts, is exploring options for implementing a solution to support the provision of Order Communications (OrderComms) on a regional basis for NI. BSO is also currently considering the potential scope for a regional OrderComms solution, and is considering the following options:

A. A single regional OrderComms solution for NI spanning both Primary Care and Secondary Care

B. A regional OrderComms solution for NI in Primary Care only, which will integrate with a Secondary Care OrderComms solution implemented through the encompass Programme

The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to:

• Identify solution options, with indicative timescales and costs, from the market’s approach to delivering an OrderComms solution for NI

• Learn from any recognised “good practice” from other clients and jurisdictions

• Gauge an interest in the market of the potential opportunity to provide an interim OrderComms solution for NI
