two.2.4) Description of the procurement
Manchester Metropolitan is seeking to appoint through a competitive tender process a suitably qualified and experienced provider of Sports Playing Kit and Leisurewear. The sports clubs sit within the University Sport Service who, in partnership with the Students’ Union, have created the MMU Sport brand. There are currently 41 sports clubs with 1,750 members, but numbers will fluctuate year on year. The scope will include, but not limited to; Clothing provision for the following internal customers: Provision of bespoke sports playing kit and leisurewear for MMU Sports clubs and students, Provision of clothing for MMU Sport staff including sport coaches, Provision of clothing for students on the MMU Sport Scholarship programme, and Provision of clothing for students and staff on the Sport & Exercise Science (SES) academic programmes. The provider is required to collaborate with students on the design of some clothing and support the University with presence on campus when required. The provider should provide manageable and efficient ordering process.
