The scope is for the supply, delivery, installation and commissioning of a rack washer and the removal and disposal of the current rack washer. The rack wash system is expected to accommodate IVCs mouse. The IVCs have a horizontal plenum and rat ICs are double decker. Additionally, the washer needs to accommodate various species cages including marmoset and bird cages. A minimum industry expected life length of 15 years for the rack washer is required and customer support to aid in house resolutions of issues. Two years’ comprehensive warranty followed by 3 years maintenance and service cover is to be provided.

Please note that prior to submitting a tender response a site survey must be performed following completion of the attached Appendix 1_NDA.

Precise information on deadline(s) for review procedures

Newcastle University will incorporate a minimum 10 calendar day standstill period at the point information on the award of the contract is communicated to tenderers. This period allows unsuccessful tenderers to seek further debriefing before the contract is entered into. Applicants have 2 working days from notification of the award decision to request additional debriefing and 4 / 4 that information has to be provided a minimum of 3 working days before expiry of the standstill period. Such additional information should be requested from the address referred to in part 1.1 above. If an appeal regarding the award of a contract has not been successfully resolved, the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 provide for aggrieved parties who have been harmed or are at risk of harm by a breach of the rules to take action in the High Court (England, Wales and Northern Ireland). Any such action must be brought promptly. Where a contract has not been entered into the Court may order the setting aside of the award decision or order the authority to amend any document and may award damages.
