Wokingham Borough Council (WBC) are inviting suppliers to participate in a market engagement event in relation to the Council’s Street Cleansing service across the borough.
The Council currently commissions this service as part of a contractual arrangement, which expires at the end of March 2026, and are looking to explore options for future provision of this service.
We are reviewing the whole service, including the structure and model of the provision and what it should include in the future and if the contract should be stand alone or integrated into the Waste contract.
Interested suppliers are invited to attend a market engagement event with a view to discussing the overall market situation and share useful insights of how best to facilitate our street cleansing services in the future.

Wokingham Borough Council (WBC) are inviting suppliers to participate in a market engagement event in relation to the Council’s Street Cleansing service across the borough.

The event will be virtual and will take place on Monday 18th September 2023 via MS Teams. The main presentation, that all interested suppliers can join, will commence at 10.00 am and continue for one hour, focusing on the following topics:
• Background
• Existing methodology structure
• Objectives
• Timetable
• Questions to suppliers
Suppliers will also be able to attend individual meetings in the afternoon of the same day 18th September 2023 from 12.00 pm onwards or on 21st September 2023, facilitated via MS Teams. Suppliers willing to engage in individual discussions, will need to indicate this when registering interest and will be offered a slot.
All relevant correspondence will be managed through the Council’s e-procurement solution – ProContract. Organisations willing to participate, will need to be registered on ProContract as a supplier. The Council is not able to assist in this process and suppliers will need to liaise with Proactis.
To register interest, please use the messaging function of ProContract, WBC’s e-procurement solution, to provide the following information:

- If you wish to request a slot for individual discussion
The Council intends to proceed to procurement in 2024, however, makes no guarantees that this PIN will be followed with a Contract Notice or Tender.
