Explanation:
The Council for the Curriculum, Examinations & Assessment require continued use of the CA:2E Software Development Environment (SDE) which is CCEA's main business application for 3 years until 17 September 2026. There are derogations under the regulations to award a contract to a single supplier where the supplies or services can only be supplied by a particular supplier for reasons connected with the protection of exclusive rights, including intellectual property rights (regulation 32(2)(b)(iii)) in that the supplier owns exclusive rights to the software.
