The contract objectives are to provide a service for current and future residents of two care homes for older people currently owned and operated by West Berkshire Council that:Provides a residential care or nursing service (as applicable) to individuals in need of accommodation and care.Meets the individually assessed needs of the service user who will receive the service as reflected in their person-centred care plan.The service will achieve a balance between providing care in a suitable environment together with the ability to be increasingly responsive to meeting the changing personal needs, expectations and the choices exercised by the service users and their families.AimsTo provide a safe 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year, service which meets the assessed needs and preferences of adults requiring nursing and/or residential care including those who may have complex needs relating to dementia and/or behaviours perceived to be challenging.

This in particular relates to the responsibilities as a provider to adhere to national and the West of Berkshire Safeguarding Procedures.To maintain a sufficiently qualified staffing level commensurate with the needs of individuals and with the accepted tender bid.
