two.1.4) Short description

The Digital Skills for the Workplace Project Team sit in the Skills & Apprenticeship Hub and are part of the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority (LCRCA).

The Digital Skills for the Workplace pilot project was developed in September 2020 as part of the Department for Education’s (DfE) Digital Bootcamps pilot. The Liverpool City Region (LCR) was one of just six areas nationally to trial the skills training aimed at helping participants to find jobs in the growing digital and tech sector and help employers to fill digital skills gaps in their business.

LCRCA has recently secured a further £1.2m funding from the Department for Education to deliver Digital Skills Bootcamps across LCR which are part of the Government’s Lifetime Skills Guarantee and Plan for Jobs initiative and therefore extend the LCRCA Digital Skills for the Workplace to 31st March 2022.

LCRCA has been approved by DfE to deliver the following bootcamps which have been further split into a total of 21 lots based on the cohort number.

LCRCA has been approved by the DfE to deliver a Skills Bootcamp in AutoCAD.

LCRCA wishes to appoint a suitably experienced Training Provider to deliver a Skills Bootcamp in AutoCAD focussed on delivering industry relevant training which will enhance the Trainee’s employment and progression opportunities within the LCR. Job roles which require employees to be proficient in AutoCAD can be found within both large and smaller organisations across a number of industry sectors.
