UK Research and Innovation, through its component research council the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) requires a framework agreement for the kitting and assembly of printed circuit boards (PCBs), procurement of bare boards and components, assembly and testing of the fully assembled PCBs built to STFC design. The number of new designs on average is about 25 to 35 per annum, with each design requiring from 2 off prototypes to 100 plus production modules. The size of modules could vary from small custom size to approximately 400 mm x 400 mm with typical technical specifications as indicated in the ‘Technical Specification’ appendix within the Delta eSourcing Portal.
