six.3) Additional information

The Board intend to commence re-procurement of it's Laboratories Managed Service around January 2022 to be tendered via the Open Procedure. The current annual value of the service is circa 24m GBP p/a. The Board is looking at a longer term contract which would allow for potential equipment refresh to be built in. The Board intends to work to a timescale to ensure that the award of contract is complete by 31 October 2022 to allow for an implementation period thereafter, to coincide with the end of the current contract (as extended) of September 2023. The Prior Information Notice is intended to notify suppliers of this forthcoming tender but also to allow for site visits for potential competent bidders in order to assess the available labs footprint and access relevant drawings and other technical information. Covid-19 social distancing restrictions are still in place and additionally the Board has been asked to ensure no external visitors to our sites during the period of the forthcoming COP26 conference in Glasgow between 1-11 November 2021. We would therefore ask that potential bidders keep site visits to a minimum and work with third party suppliers to avoid duplicate site visits wherever possible. Should suppliers wish to request a site visit, please email: Mike.Kumar@ggc.scot.nhs.uk in order to submit your request. Due to all of the restrictions previously mentioned, we can offer w/c 22nd November and w/c 29th November as site visit windows. The PIN will be open until the end of December 2021. Prior to publication of the contract notice, if possible we will endeavour to share draft specifications, over-arching terms and conditions and other relevant documents, however cannot guarantee this.
