This Expression of Interest (EOI) seeks information relating to the provision of support to patients of all ages and their families who are cared for in the NHS England highly specialised service for Bardet Biedl Syndrome which is provided from four hospitals in England. The majority of the support to be provided is remote but also includes supporting patients face to face as they attend outpatient clinics.

The service requirement is to complement the national Bardet Biedl Syndrome clinical service, which is commissioned from four expert providers in England to deliver high-quality specialised care to patients and by providing non-medical patient support through embedded support co-ordinators and including relevant and up to date information. The current contract for this service expires on 31st March 2024 and this EOI is to gather information to inform a replacement contract.
