Derry City and Strabane District Council (DCSDC) is seeking submissions from suitably qualified companies for the creation, production and delivery of a series of 3D Digital Installations as part of a new and exciting light festival ‘Illuminating the Walled City’ being delivered in February 2022.. Derry City and Strabane District Council (DCSDC) is seeking submissions from suitably qualified companies for the creation, production and delivery of a series of 3D Digital Installations as part of the series of Live Illumination Experience element of ‘Illuminating the Walled City Light Festival’. It is expected that the experience will be of high quality and one of international standard that will attract visitors from across the Island. Dates and Timing of Performances The Live Illumination Experiences will take place over 8 nights of the festival. 17th- 20th and 24th- 27th February 2022. We would anticipate that each installation will run for 5 hours each night from 5pm until 10pm approximately. Quantity and Duration of Performance We would anticipate the production and delivery of a maximum of 6, minimum of 4 high quality installations at different locations throughout the city. Council requires that the installations to come alive for 3-5 minutes at a time, consisting of a range of special digital, lighting and audio effects. We would anticipate giving the audience several minutes to change/move to the next location before the sequence is repeated again. Please refer to CfT docuemnts for further details.
