two.1.4) Short description

The Council propose to enter into a Framework Agreement for Scaffolding Hire and Inspection Services to Falkirk Council Housing Properties.

The scope includes the provision, erecting, handover, maintaining and dismantling of on-hire scaffolding, to Falkirk Council Housing properties, in addition to separately undertaking tests and inspections of this scaffolding.

The Framework Agreement will be awarded on a Lot by Lot basis. The Authority at all times reserves the right to award all, some, part or none of the Lots. The framework consists of 2 Lots; it is intended that up to 5 Contractors per Lot are to be appointed.

Lots -

Lot 1 Scaffolding Hire - approximate framework term Lot Value 4 680 000 GBP (95%)

Lot 2 Scaffold Inspection and Tie Testing - approximate framework term Lot Value 240 000 GBP(5%)

Amendment to Professional Activity - Membership

III.1.1. Suitability to pursue the professional activity: Participant Membership requirements are updated to include within existing requirements:

All Lots – Participant Membership: National Access & Scaffolding Confederation (NASC), or equivalent level membership of Scaffolding Association or other.

All Lot 1 and/or Lot 2 Participants and any proposed sub-contractors shall be registered/accredited and hold current full membership from National Access & Scaffolding Confederation (NASC), or hold a comparable standard of membership level with another national trade body for access and scaffolding in the UK. Evidence of equivalency submitted shall be evaluated and at the sole discretion of the Council, determined to meet the required level.
