two.1.4) Short description

Dorset Council invites bids from suitably qualified and experienced providers to deliver Technology Enabled Care Services. The service will be supported by the Council’s Technology Enabled Care (TEC) Team of specialist Occupational Therapists and support staff to promote innovation, culture change and training.

The awarded provider will work closely with the TEC Team to deliver the right equipment at the right time to support the needs of the service whilst also supporting the Council’s service to meet the demands of partners such as the Home First initiative under Discharge 2 Assess.

The aim of the service is to promote a strength-based approach, including assisting the service user and their families to find technology solutions to help them remain in their own homes for as long as possible, whilst also supporting them to access the community, work and leisure.

The service will support adults of all ages, Transitions, Children with Disability Services and those with Physical, Mental Health and Learning Disabilities.

The provider will be expected to work alongside Dorset Council Social Care services to help them meet their commissioning intentions and demonstrate where technology will support cost savings including cost avoidance.
