two.1.4) Short description

This PIN is issued to invite attendance to an online SUPPLIER ENGAGEMENT EVENT being held on the 23rd AUGUST at 10.30am (via Teams). The purpose of this event will be to provide potential bidders with some background to the requirement, its proposed structure and how services will be called-off. Two client representatives will also be joining. If your company would like to attend please email j.lisle@neupc.ac.uk with a single attendees name and email address no later than 5pm on the 19th August, whereby joining details will be provided on the 20th. The subsequent invitation to tender will be issued by North Eastern Universities Purchasing Consortium (‘NEUPC’) in order to establish a framework agreement for Telecoms and Data Cabling services, comprising of small building installations, refurbishments, repairs, maintenance and improvements on University premises, for the North Eastern Universities of Durham, Newcastle, Northumbria, Sunderland and Teesside. The works will involve all aspects of telephone and data installations/modifications (excluding BMS) typical of University buildings, such as but not limited to laboratories, small and complex lecture theatres, libraries, café and commercial kitchens, offices (individual and open plan), public areas, meeting rooms, conference rooms, accommodation, plant areas, etc.

A maximum of five contractors will be appointed to this Lot. The agreement is for an initial 2-year period, with the option to extend for up to an additional 24 months in 12 monthly increments, however the increments may be shortened or increased as required.

Future call-off contracts under this framework may be part funded from external streams, including European Union funding, ERDF/ESF and other research bodies. All funding assessed under this framework will be considered compliant for the purposes of external funding by the named participants.
