This Framework Agreement is for the Provision of Vehicle Bodywork Repair Services for cars and fleet vehicles up to 38 tonnes operated by Dorset Council and for vehicles subject to third party claims against the Council.

The Agreement is intended to provide a bodywork repair service for vehicles situated across the County of Dorset.

The Framework contractor(s) will be required to carry out bodywork repairs to the Council’s mixed badge, vehicle fleet and vehicles belonging to a third party damaged by Dorset Council during their business.

The major content of work for this Framework will be made up of the following:

• Body Repairs

• Paint Repairs

• Collection and Delivery (Third Party Vehicles)

• Recovery

To reduce unnecessary travelling, and to help control costs to the Council and contractor(s), the Council will require a repair network that can strategically cover the whole area of Dorset and offer a flexible service to their officers.

To achieve this operational flexibility the Council will be offering this Framework to more than one contractor to ensure that services located in the west and east of the County have access to a nearby body repair service.

The Framework Agreement is to be split between the following Lots:

• Lot 1 – Small / Medium Vehicles below 7.5t West Dorset

• Lot 2 – Small / Medium Vehicles below 7.5t East Dorset

• Lot 3 – Large Vehicles 7.5t and above West Dorset

• Lot 4 – Large Vehicles 7.5t and above East Dorset

The Framework period will be for 2 years commencing 1st December 2022 including an option to extend for 2 further periods of 12 months, subject to satisfactory performances, making a potential Framework period of 4 years. The estimated total framework value is in the region of £1,000,000.
