Alder Hey Children's NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a provider for the Provision of a Primary Care Streaming within a Paediatric Urgent Treatment Centre.

Alder Hey Emergency Department (ED) provides accident and emergency care to the paediatric population of Liverpool. The department receives 70,000 attends per annum, demand which is increasing year on year. Some of these attends are patients with minor illnesses or injuries that are streamed to a co-located Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC). Within the UTC there is capacity to see minor injuries, provided by the Trust, and minor illness provided by a sub-contracted provider. Currently 25-30% of attends are suitable to be seen within this facility.

The initial contract term will be 1 year, with an option to extend for a further 4 years at the sole discretion of the Authority.

It is anticipated that the contract will commence on 01/11/2024.


This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) Contract Notice . The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For avoidance of doubt the provisions of the Public Contract Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award.

This Invitation to Tender (ITT) exercise is being conducted via a competitive process under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023.
