two.2.4) Description of the procurement

This opportunity is for the disability Access Guides for all Motorway Service Areas (MSA) in England only.

These Access Guides enable disabled road users and the travelling companions, to plan their journeys on the strategic road network by helping to identify the service areas that best meet their individual and specific access requirements.

Therefore, the key purpose of this requirement is that the Access Guides must be continued, kept up to date, accurate, free to use and inclusive to all disabled users. They should also be available to the public in easy to use, accessible and be published for the duration of the contract

The supplier should also be able to undertake comprehensive access surveys of all Motorway Service Areas in order to maintain and further develop Access Guides.

A new contract will need to be in place for a further minimum period of 3 years commencing 1st April 2023.
