In 2017 the HMS Warrior Preservation Trust merged with the National Museum of the Royal Navy (NMRN), following the merger the NMRN conducted surveys of Warrior's electrical systems and identified that it requires extensive rewiring work. Previously in 2018 a tender was advertised but was not awarded following feedback from the submitted bids.
Scope of Work
The NMRN are seeking to rewire HMS Warrior to bring all electrical systems on board to current standards, these include;
- Refurbishment and upgrade of lighting within historic replica lamps on board.
- Full rewiring of the ship's electrical system, including shoreside on the Jetty.
