two.2.4) Description of the procurement

Project Objectives

To provide a range of project engineering services to manage the Tarbock Island Capacity Improvement Project and the Key Route Network Structural Maintenance Schemes to ensure that it is delivered on time and within the budget. The consultant is also to undertake forty general inspections of highways structures in line with national guidance.

Deliverables

• Successfully acting as the Principal Designer during the construction of the Tarbock Island Capacity Improvement Project and the Key Route Network Structural Maintenance Schemes

• Ensuring that the projects are designed in accordance with the relevant highway standards and liaise with the company who undertook the designs to arrange for changes to be made.

• Undertake the Clerk of Works role on the Tarbock Island Capacity Improvement Project.

• Undertake General Inspections of 36 highway structures across the Borough, by 31 March 2024.

Outcomes

The outcome of the Project Engineering Services appointment will be to oversee the delivery of the Tarbock Island Capacity Improvement Project and the Key Route Network Structural Maintenance Schemes to ensure that it is delivered on time and within budget. The Consultant is also to undertake 36 General Inspections of highway structures in line with National Guidance.
