This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) intention to award notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the Avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. The publication of this notice marks the start of the standstill period. Representations by providers must be made to decision makers by 17th July 2024. This contract has not yet formally been awarded, this notice services as an intention to award under the PSR.Any written representations should be sent to matthew.kelsall@uhb.nhs.ukThe award decision maker in respect of this award is: Vicki Flindall- Director of Finance - Queen Elizabeth Hospital.Conflicts of Interest Declarations have been recieved and no conflicts have been identified in respect of this proposed award.The provider has been chosen as The provider has a proven track record of delivery in line with NHS expectations of the contract and has been an effective partner in the elective recovery of the Birmingham and Solihull system. Evidence provided by the provider demonstrates that they are meeting and exceeding the necessary key criteria of the contract award.In reaching this decision the Authority has weighted the quality and innovation, value, service sustainability and improving access and facilitating choice as being relatively more important factors in respect of the award. The rationale for this is based on the requirement for a quality service provision in line with Trust clinical governance, is affordable in the context of the Trust's financial recovery plan and can provide a flexible multi-site service to enable a seamless continuation of care and reduce inequalities of access for patients.

This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) confirmation of contract award notice. This contract has been awarded under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. This contract has now been formally awarded using direct award process C.The contract was awarded on the 18th July 2024 and will run until 31st August 2024. The contract has an option to extend for up to a further 6 months.The anticipated maximum value of the initial term of the contract is £387,325 depending on activity.
