Digital Training for Core Sectors is designed around the DFE Skills Bootcamps introduced across the region in 2021 and forms a continuum of skills support funded through the Hearth of South West Local Enterprise Partners local growth fund deal. Digital Training for Core Sectors boot camps are to be procured to match identified demand for digital skills and specific skills demand within the regions core and growth sectors.

The project has refined the need for digital skilled workers in the following:

Section four. Procedure

four.1) Description

four.1.11) Main features of the award procedure

The Authority is procuring under SECTION 7, of the PCR 2015, Social and Other Specific Services also known as Light Touch Regime (LTR). The Authority is using a process similar to the bid procedure described in Regulation 27 of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (as amended). However, the Authority reserves the right to deviate from the formalities of the procedure given the flexibilities permitted by Regulation 76 of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (as amended) in the conduct of procurements for "light regime" services." DCC will be using the LTR services, and the Authority will be taking advantage of the significant flexibility available to them under the light regime in developing its procurement process.

The contract award decision will be made on the basis of the most economically advantageous (MEAT) Bid, based on the application of the detailed evaluation criteria shown in Appendix 7 of the Invitation to Tender (ITT). Evaluation Criteria and Weightings - Quality 80% and Quantity 20%
