Scope

Description

The Borough Council of King's Lynn and West Norfolk intends to form a Framework Agreement for routine and emergency repairs to the Hunstanton coastal defences located in West Norfolk. This framework will likely consist of up to 4 contractors.

Throughout the duration of the framework, the scope of repairs required are likely to include the following:

•Concrete patch repairs to the seawall, promenade, wave-return wall, slipways and beach access steps.

•Replacement of concrete blockwork units to a section of blockwork seawall.

•Asphalt repairs to sections of asphalt surfaced promenade.

•Mortar joint replacement to a section of blockwork seawall.

•Joint sealant replacement to the seawall, promenade, wave-return wall and slipways.

•Health and safety works to concrete groynes and timber groynes.

Engagement process description

The exercise will consist of written responses to the areas of the Pre-Market Engagement document identified as requiring response.

The Council reserves the right to hold subsequent meetings with those that

have responded to the written questions (Participants). Any such meetings would be to discuss the responses to the questions in further detail, and would be held via MS TEAMS.
