National Highways requires Specialist Security Services (SSS) primarily for the Lower Thames Crossing Programme and potentially for other National Highways projects.
The Lower Thames Crossing is part of the biggest investment in the UK roads for a generation. It consists of a proposed new All Purpose Trunk Road connecting the A2/M2 in Kent, crossing under the Thames through a twin-bored tunnel before joining the M25 south of Junction 29.
The Lower Thames Crossing (LTC) Programme requires a Specialist Security Services provider to provide specialist security services comprising 3 key functions:
1. Provide legally, ethically and proportionally obtained information of potential threats to the project
2. Provide mobile patrolling of clients land and properties
3. Where required, on instructions of the client, legally safely and effectively mitigate trespasser actions and or remove, trespassers from the client's land and property
How the lots are structured across the Contracting Authority projects and specific requirements will be decided after feedback from the proposed supplier event.
