Description
Housing Related Support in temporary accommodation in Dacorum area.
These services help people who have experienced chaotic lives or social exclusion to integrate into the community. They provide support in Temporary Accommodation helping people to identify the best move-on options for them and support them to achieve them.
• Providing advice to tenants around benefits and finances.
o Gathering documents such as bank statements, payslips, identification, GP letters, benefit awards for the council and other organisations
o Help with banking issues such as change of addresses, setting up payments, opening bank accounts, setting up online banking
o Assist if individuals are in arrears with the council to reduce and clear the debt
• Complete applications for social housing, and support if successful in securing accommodation with setting up bills, changing addresses, setting up payments,
• Supporting individuals to understand and manage their tenancy.
• Assist in applications for working and training, signing up to training courses
