This requirement is for the purchase of enteral feeds and associated products and services for patients registered within the Hampshire CCG and their secondary care providers; SIP feeds will also be required as part of the secondary care electronic catalogue. The Contract will include a mix of supply of products to secondary care providers, community trusts, home delivery (excluding SIPS unless part of a tube feed regimen) and company nurse services as detailed in each specification.

In consideration of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and post pandemic recovery, plus the material change to the recent CCG structure, NHS Hampshire, Southampton and Isle of Wight CCG is extending the current contract with Nutricia Limited, for the Supply of Enteral Feeds & Associated Products into the Community & Secondary Care for the NHS Southampton City CCG (Host), NHS West Hampshire CCG, Hampshire Hospitals NHS FT, University Hospitals Southampton NHS FT, Solent NHS Trust & Southern Health NHS FT.
seven.2.2) Reasons for modification
Need for modification brought about by circumstances which a diligent contracting authority/entity could not foresee.
Description of the circumstances which rendered the modification necessary and explanation of the unforeseen nature of these circumstances:
The Contracting Authorities consider that an extension of the Contract is permitted in accordance with Regulation 72(1) (c) of the Public Contract Regulations 2015. COVID-19 has brought about circumstances which the Contracting Authorities could not have foreseen, that the modification does not alter the overall nature of the contract and any increase in price does not exceed 50% of the value of the original contract.
