Explanation:

This contract was awarded to the incumbent supplier as it was felt by the University that this was indeed necessary to provide continuity of supply and service to students at Ulster University during the current Covid 19 crisis.

There is a new degree in Paramedics commencing at Ulster University on September 2021 which also requires student uniforms for Paramedics.

The University will tender this service for student uniforms early 2022 so that a contract will be in place when this Direct Award Contract expires on 24th August 2022.
