North of England Commissioning Support (NECS) working for and on behalf of NHS North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) to invite proposals from suitably experienced, qualified and resourced providers of Patient Transport, Emergency Conveyance and Associated Services.
The aim is to establish a Framework Agreement to cover the provision of services across all NEAS operational areas inclusive of:
North - Northumberland and North of Tyne
Central - South of Tyne and North Durham
South - South Durham and Teesside
The framework agreement (framework) will be set out into eleven (11) distinct lots, each broken down further into sub-lots to ensure coverage across the above geographical/operational areas. Providers are able and encouraged to bid for any/all of the lots or sub-lots they are capable of delivering.
Further details of the Authority's requirements under the Framework Agreement and Call-Off Contract(s) and other relevant information are detailed in the Specification of Requirements.
NECS is utilising an electronic tendering tool to manage this competition and communicate with potential providers. Accordingly, there will be no hard copy documents issued to potential providers and all communications with NECS, including response submissions, will be conducted via the Atamis portal at: https://health-family.force.com/s/Welcome. The framework shall be awarded for an initial 24 months at the fixed
rates defined within accepted bids, uplifted annually at the rate of
the national NHS inflation and efficiency assumptions, with the
option to extend for a further 24-month period under the same
terms.
