The London Violence Reduction Unit will be commissioning a pilot programme to extend its families work that will support young men and fathers to develop healthy relationships with their partners and children, reducing conflict.

The programme will be expected to be delivered across two localities, where a partnership approach is welcomed. The programme will provide safe spaces, workshops, residentials, advocacy and support/mentoring services. It will incorporate peer-to-peer support and have specialist facilitators that will support men with self-development, whilst healing trauma, and teaching principles and providing tools to have non-violent conversations, enabling them to be positive role models to others in their communities, and within their own families.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

A competitive procurement for the award of a contract for the delivery of the Violence Reduction Unit's Community Fathers-Healthy Relationships & Co parenting pilot. It is to be conducted in accordance with the Light Touch Regime (LTR) as implemented in the UK by the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and will be undertaken via a non-mandatory Open Procedure.

The London Violence Reduction Unit will be commissioning a pilot programme to extend its families work that will support young men and fathers to develop healthy relationships with their partners and children, reducing conflict.

The programme will be expected to be delivered across two localities, where a partnership approach is welcomed. The programme will provide safe spaces, workshops, residentials, advocacy and support/mentoring services. It will incorporate peer-to-peer support and have specialist facilitators that will support men with self-development, whilst healing trauma, and teaching principles and providing tools to have non-violent conversations, enabling them to be positive role models to others in their communities, and within their own families.

The successful providers of the pilot will demonstrate that their delivery model meets the programme and high-level outcomes, addressing identified areas key to enabling fathers to be better supported by services and their peers in their journey through fatherhood.

The maximum budget for the programme will be approximately £340,000 (£170,000 per site) over approximately 18 months.
