NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands CSU on behalf of the NHS Black Country Integrated Care Board intend to award a contract for the provision of a FIT (Faecal Immunochemical Testing) Service.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

The successful Provider will deliver a FIT (Faecal Immunochemical Testing) Service with the aim of reducing mortality from bowel cancer for patients registered with a GP in the BSol area.
As a result of this Competitive Process, a Contract will be awarded to the successful Provider for a period of 2 years, commencing 01st July 2025, with the Commissioner having the option to extend the Contract for up to a further 2 years. The new service has been awarded to an existing Provider. It is anticipated that the service provision resulting from this Competitive Process will have a value of £2,547,420 for the contract period, which includes any exercised contract extensions.

This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) intention to award notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. The publication of this notice marks the start of the standstill period. Representations by providers must be made to the relevant authority by midnight 02nd June 2025. Any representations should be sent via the Atamis messaging portal.

This contract has not yet formally been awarded; this notice serves as an intention to award a contract under the competitive process of the PSR.

The award decision-makers are the NHS Birmingham and Solihull Integrated Care Board. The decision to award the contract was made by the NHS Birmingham and Solihull Integrated Care Board. There were no declared of potential conflicts of interest of individuals making the award decision.
