The Authority is appointing a supplier to provide DNA ear tags and applicators for use in the identification of Bovine Tuberculosis (bTB) Reactor Cattle. DNA ear tagging is performed in the field by Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA) field staff and Official Veterinarians (OVs) contracted by APHA across the United Kingdom (UK) as part of the Tuberculosis (TB) eradication programme. Applicators are distributed to the OVs along with the ear tags to enable them to carry out tagging of bTB Reactor Cattle on behalf of APHA.
