This Contract Notice refers to the tender opportunity to appoint a sole supplier to provide one bench scale hot melt extruder system. The system should be a twin screw co-rotating style and include an integrated loss in weight feeder unit for delivery of powdered feedstocks. This is to replace existing capability within CMAC at University of Strathclyde. For guidance, the current capability is a 11mm diameter, 25:1 L/D barrel, 8 heat transfer zone extruder as built by ThermoFisher. The current unit utilises a Brabender mini-twin loss in weight feeder.
This requirement includes supply, delivery, installation and training of the equipment.
