This contract has been modified under the urgent circumstances provision of the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. seven.2) Information about modifications

seven.2.1) Description of the modifications

Nature and extent of the modifications (with indication of possible earlier changes to the contract):

The Agreement has been varied to include increase in costs, which have occurred as a result of increased cost pressures and staff pay increases; and to utilise the final provisioned extension and extend the contract for 1 year from 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025.

The Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023 (the ‘PSR’) came into effect on 01 January 2024. As a result of regulation 29(2), the PSR applies to modifications of contracts for relevant health care services whether or not the contract was awarded in accordance with the PSR or before 01 January 2024. The Agreement has been varied under reg 13(1)(c) of the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023 from the 1 April 2024.

Need for modification brought about by circumstances which a diligent contracting authority/entity could not foresee.

inflation has been higher than anticipated causing increased costs to running the service
