The College provides free at the point of access network transport to students that purchase a bus pass on a termly basis. The choice to use existing transport networks rather than specifically contracted routes has been undertaken due to the complexity of the Colleges travel to learn patterns and requirements for students to be able to travel into College in line with their timetable.

After considering the market there are only two operators that offer network transport with coverage and regular services that cover the geography of the College’s learners.

If an appeal regarding the award of contract has not been successfully resolved then the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 provide for aggrieved parties who have been harmed or are at risk of harm by breach of the rules to take action in the High Court. Any such action must be brought promptly (generally within 3 months).
