The Nuclear AMRC is seeking to procure a high-temperature vacuum furnace to pursue unique research into joining (brazing) and heat treatment of advanced materials required for the next generation of advanced modular and nuclear fusion reactor programmes. It is a technology that aligns with the High Value Manufacturing Centres’ (HVMC) growth strategy and has been discussed at senior technology management meetings involving all HVMC Centres.
