Scope
Description
Following the announcement of the UK's inaugural Men's Health Strategy by Wes Streeting, the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, in November 2024, the Department of Health and Social care (DHSC) has launched a call for evidence to gather insights and feedback from healthcare professionals, campaigners, and the public on what is currently working effectively in men's health and where more action is needed. Alongside the call for evidence, DHSC is interested in exploring how industry and government can better work together to achieve its strategic ambitions for men's health. The purpose of this market engagement is for any party linked or interested in men's health to complete a questionnaire about what they feel are potential areas of opportunities for collaboration, as well as any work they are undertaking to encourage men's engagement with the health system. This questionnaire is purely for information purposes and will not be used for any further activities. DHSC will also be hosting a small roundtable on Wednesday, 4 June 2025 to facilitate a conversation around what organisations are doing, or interested in doing, to combat low health literacy and lack of engagement with the health system among men. To be eligible to attend this event you must be a VCSE organisation whose work involves in one or both of the fields above.

To be eligible to attend this event you must be a VCSE organisation whose work involves in one or both of the fields above. Please indicate through the Atamis portal if you feel you meet the eligibility criteria to attend this event. If eligible, details of the roundtable will be sent to you ahead of Wednesday, 4 June. Although it is possible not all respondents will be invited to the roundtable, the department welcomes and encourages any interested parties to complete the questionnaire. Since this is neither a call for competition nor a procurement, it's been assigned a nominal monetary value of £1. The deadline for responses is 13:00 on Tuesday, 3 June 2025. Please contact menshealthengagement@dhsc.gov.uk if you have any questions about this opportunity.
