The purpose of this tender is to commission the design and delivery of an accelerator programme which will support businesses interested in accessing China’s markets for new products in support of healthy longevity. We are looking for a third party, with a demonstrable capability to provide accelerator support and a knowledge of international innovation and commercialisation issues to deliver this work package.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

The contract is for 2 years. The successful bidder will be expected to identify and recruit businesses to the accelerator, liaising with organisations such as the Department for International Trade, Innovate UK and NICA. The outcome will be a community of new businesses with strong links to NICA and the UK-China programme delivering new services and products relevant to ageing. Whilst the primary focus will be on companies operating in two key domain areas, namely functional mobility & gait, and the adaptation of urban environments to support the improved mobility of older people, other potential offerings of relevance to the wider sector will be considered where appropriate.
