Girls Learning Trust The Girls' Learning Trust (GLT) was formed in September 2015 and consists of three schools: Nonsuch High School for Girls, Wallington High School for Girls and Carshalton High School for Girls. All three are high performing, successful schools located in the London Borough of Sutton. As one of only two all-girls multi academy trusts in the UK, our aim is to empower girls and young women by delivering a first-class education and providing an inspirational start to their futures. With around 4,000 students, 400 staff and a highly effective operating model, GLT gives member schools the financial and operational strength to drive school improvement and provides increased opportunities for students and staff across the Trust. The Trust is looking to grow to be a 5 school multi-academy trust in the future retaining the all-girls identity and operating within the London and South East region. The Tender The tender project is seeking to appoint a contractor whose initiative and innovation will be welcomed for the provision of cleaning services within the facilities for each school in the Trust. The high-quality service levels proposed, should maintain excellent standards throughout, resulting in a pleasant environment for both the pupils and staff at all schools. The basis and rationale that the Client requires the successful contractor to operate to at all times, is being able to provide a School that is fit for purpose and that the Contractor is proactive in the management of the contract, thus ensuring that all specifications are achieved and that the frequency of cleans is as detailed within the Tender Specification. The contract being tendered is from 1st August 2023 until 31st July 2026 with an option to extend for up to a further 2 years at the discretion of the client. The contract will be fixed price in nature, with the Contractor invoicing the Client for one-twelfth of the annual cost on a monthly basis. It should be noted that the successful contractor will be expected to bring to the contract: innovation; new equipment; and cleaning methods, with BICSc standards being achieved, as a minimum, thus ensuring that the highest levels of cleanliness are maintained in all areas at all times and also ensuring that the productivity of the cleaning operatives is enhanced moving forward into the new contract term. Other notes: •Please be advised that this contract will be let on a 3 + 2 years basis. •Please be advised that there are currently 3 cleaning staff at Wallington in the LGPS •Please be advised that the cleaning service is currently contracted to DB Services •Please be advised that the School has a minimum requirement for a contractor’s employers liability/ public liability and professional indemnity insurance of £10m •The minimum annual turnover that your company must have achieved to be considered for this opportunity is £1m •Please note that this is a growing Trust. Should any other schools join this Trust during the course of this contract, these schools may, at the discretion of the client, be added to this contract. •Please note that whilst the Trust seeks one provider for this contract, each school reserves the right to take it’s own appointment decision and reserves the right not to appoint as a result of this process Please see the SQ Document for more information.
