The council are now looking to commission a contract for the provision of start-up support that targets Wolverhampton residents to engage and access skills that will provide them with the right foundations to prepare, start and ensure the survival of their business. The provision should support the increase of new enterprises - sole trader, micro business, small and medium-sized enterprise, or large business and includes social enterprises.

In order to promote growth and productivity in the city, we are particularly keen for the successful provider to encourage start-ups in growth sectors, e.g., tech, creative and digital and those emerging markets such as the green economy.

This contract is funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/uk-shared-prosperity-fund-prospectus
